Bob & Flory Wilkins
We are Bob and Flory Wilkins, owners of Windows of the West Stained Glass. After retiring in 1999 we developed an interest in the concept of stained glass and decided to pursue it for something different to do. A life long friend who is a stained glass artist, offered us courses while we were in Arizona and she instilled in us the desire to be the best we could be. What started as a hobby has now blossomed into a small stained glass studio in Innisfail Alberta, recognized as one of the Professional Stained Glass Studios in Alberta, by the Spectrum Glass Company Inc.
We have a great passion for our work, especially wildlife, bird, western and flower panels. We also do windows, lamps and work from photographs submitted by pet lovers, immortalizing them in stained glass. Pride in our work ensures the highest quality of workmanship. We are also members of the Wellspring Visual ArtNetwork Association located in Olds Alberta.
In December 2006 we were featured on Dragonfly Software’s California website for their design of the month, which featured a large “Prairie Sunrise” window created for a home in Central Alberta. In the spring of 2007 Parks Canada accepted our large Great Horned “OWL” piece for their 6th Annual Stained Glass Art Show and Sale “Brilliance of Birds Display “Kootenay National Park held at Radium Hot Springs from June till December 2007.
We have been commissioned for pieces from Alberta. British Columbia and Ontario. Our products have gone across Canada, USA, Europe, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica and Saudi Arabia. We have been featured on numerous USA and Canadian websites.
We have taken further courses in Arizona and Alberta and are members of the Alberta Craft Council. We also teach an enhancement stained glass course.
We have many various glass items for sale year round at The White Raven Emporium located in Didsbury, Alberta. Also The Wild Bird Store in Calgary sells our stained glass birds.
Our stained glass pieces are highly prized and recognized for their exceptional craftsmanship and artistic use of very high quality art glass from leading glass manufactures.
