Gayle Kohut

My husband and my family farm and ranch east of Didsbury, Alberta. It is this life and all its miracles of nature that give me my inspiration for my paintings. I like to portray the details of agriculture, rural people, livestock, and wildlife for other people to enjoy and appreciate.

Over the years I went to several workshops and have been fortunate enough to learn from Didsbury Artist Joyce Mullen the techniques in many different mediums such as from pencil, pastel, pen, and ink oils and watercolor. Bronze Sculpture and acrylic Artist Diane Anderson introduced me to gouache painting.

I have participated in numerous art shows and sales in Alberta and have won many Peoples Choice awards and Best of Show in my local town. I have done and still do commissions in my home studio. My work can be found in private homes in England, Chile and through out North America. My paintings are available in Limited Editions and Art cards in Galleries and gift shops in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

You will see me and my artwork at Art Show and Sales through out the year in Alberta.
